Good Health Year For U.S.A.
NEW YORK.—Mortality statistics for the first nine months of 1950 point to the probability that the United States is experiencing its healthiest year, reported Metropolitan Life Insurance Company officials. Their belief is based -on the mortality experience for that, period among the company's millions of industrial policyholders. For the January-September period the death rate among these policyholders was 6.4 per 1000, compared with the previous low record of 6.5 per 1000 tor the same period last year.—Reuter. . depressing living standards.
