New Record For Wet Plucking Of Fowl
WHANGAREI, Yesterday (PA).— The claim of a Timaru butcher to have set a record by wet-plucking fowl in 15 seconds was easily bettered in Kaikohe yesterday. Lindsay Kidd was timed on two successive fowls. The first he did in 10 seconds and the next in 8 4-5 seconds. Kidd, with other members of the shop staff, are preparing nearly 300 fowls for Christmas. “If a man were doing this all the time he should be able to do it in live seconds flat,” he said yesterday.
