Equipment For K Force Now At Pusan
TOKIO, Dec. 19 (Rec. 8.45 pm).— The equipment of the New Zealand Artery Regiment due in Korea in a few days arrived at Pusan yesterday in the freighter carrying two officers and 10 other ranks. The Canadian contribution to the United Nations land forces —the 2nd. Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry—also landed at Pusan.
The advance guard of the New Zealand force led by Brigadier R. S. Park is now quartered in the former Japanese barracks in Southern Korea. They are working to make roofless a*nd windowless buildings habitable in time for the main force. Brigadier Park rejoined the advance party yesterday aft*r a brief visit to Japan to confer with Lieut.-General Robertson, commander of the Commonwealth forces.—Reuter.
