Italian Firm Gets Power Contract In Australia
CANBERRA, Dec. 18 (Recd. 8.30). The Minister of National Development (Mr. R. G. Casey) announces the acceptance of a tender by an Halim firm, S. A. Legnami Pa’sotti, for lhe construction of most of the administrative village at Cooma, New South Wales, for lhe Snowy River hydro-electric scheme plus 100 collages at various other points in the The firm has undertaken lo complete' lhe work within twelve months. Mr Casey stales that the first block of 80,000 horsepower will now become available in four years. The firm will import all the buildings complete and bring its own skilled workers by arrangement with the immigration department.
