UNDER the Wool Proceeds Retention Regulations, 1950, any person who buys wool from a producer or other person otherwise than at auction and who is not a member of the New Zealand Wool Buyers’ Association, is required to register with the Department of Agriculture as a Dealer. When registering each dealer must state the number of bales of wool paid for and held by him exclusive of any wool already entered for sale and included in a catalogue for sale by auction. Application forms are obtainable from the office of the Department of Agriculture at Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Gisborne, Hastings, Masterton, Wellington.
