MAIN WYNDHAM TROT TO SQUIRE DILLON

INVERCARGILL, Last Night (PA). —There was a good attendance and the track was firm for the Wyndham Trotting Club's spring meeting, which was held on Saturday. The totalisator handled £35,868, including £2937 on the double. The winning douV combination, Squire Dillon and Grange Lady, paid £49 14s for £l. There was no spring meeting la-t year. After the running of the Hunter Handicap an objection was lodged against the third placing being awarded Hall Stand on the grounds that he interfered with Biddy's Pet in the straight. After evidence had been taken from R. W. Townley (driver of Biddy’s Pet), and W. S. Kirby (driver of Hall Stand), the stinendiary stewards decided to disqualify Hall Stand and promote Biddy’s Pet to third and Happy Joe to fourth.
