The Wanganui Women’s Bowling Centre tournament was concluded at GonviJJe yesterday. Th the final of the pairs, Mrs C. Joyce (Wanganui) beat Mrs Pettitt (Castlecliff) by 28 15. Mrs M. Dempster (Wanganui) best Mrs Congrieve (Gonville) by the narrow margin of 16-15 in the final of the rinks competition. Results of yesterday’s play were 1 Pairs. First round: Pettitt (Castlecliff) 20 beat Pen fold (Woburn) 12; Pluck (Wanganui 20 beat Turner (Gonville) 10; Gibson (Avondale 22, beat Demp* ster (Wanganui) 18; Joyce (Wanganui) 19, beat Dennison (Wanganui) 9. Second round: Pettitt 13, beat Pluck 12; Joyce 15, beat Gibson 12. Final: Joyce 28, beat Pettitt 15. Rinks. Firs', round: Dempster (Wanganui) 22, beat Dennison (Wanganui) 21; Congrieve (Gonville) a bye. Final: Congrieve 15, lost to Dempster 16.
