60,000 Chinese Troops Involved, Says MacArthur

TOKIO, Nov. 9 (Reed. 11.40 pm) A spokesman for General MacArthur said today that the Chinese Communists have thrown possibly 60,000 troops into the fighting in Korea and Manchuria. The spokesman said that about half of four Communist armies so far have crossed the frontier and another 50 divisions have been deployed in Manchuria, according to unofficial estimates.
