Serious Injuries From Falling Limb
NELSON, Last Night (PA)—When he was struck by a falling limb from a birch tree, Mr Albngo Griffith, aged 65, of Wakefield, suffered crush Injuries of the skull, abrasions to the face, and extreme shock He was admitted to Nelson Public Hospital this afternoon in a very grave condition. With a neighbour. Mr. E. P. Higgins, he was sawing up a tree which they had felled, w hen a heavy limb crashed down from a nearby birch and struct him. It is thought that lhe limb was broken off when the first tree fell against it.
