ELECTION NOTICES, RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL. NOTICE OF PROPOSAL THAT THE SYSTEM OF RATING BE ON THE UNIMPROVED VALUE. NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of Section 40 of “'The Rating Act, 1925,” that the votes of the Ratepayers of the County of Rangitikei will be taken on a proposal that the system of rating on the basis of the Unimproved Value thereof, be adopted in the said County, and that Saturday the 18th day of November, 1950, is fixed as the day for the taking of the votes on the said proposal. PURSUANT to Section 10 of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” the Rangitikei County Council hereby gives public notice of its intention to raise a Special Loan of £50,000 as follows: (a) The particular purpose for which the loan is required is replacement of bridges throughout the Rangitikei County. (b) The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is Fifty thousand pounds (£50,000). (c) The proposed security for the said loan is an annually-recurring rate of Nine one-hundredths of a penny (9/100d) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the Capital Value) of all rateable property within the County of Rangitikei and the said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term of twenty-five (25) years. (d) It is not proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan nor the instalments of principal and. interest for the first year. (e) The rate of interest to be paid in respect of the loan shall not exceed three pounds five shillings (£3/5/-) per centum per annum. F. L. NICOL, County Clerk RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL? PURSUANT to the provisions of Section 40 of "The Rating Act, 1925," public notice is hereby given that a Poll of the Ratepayers of the whole of the County of Rangitikei will be taken on SATURDAY, the 18th November, 1950, on the proposal that the system of rating in the Rangitikei County be on the basis of the Unimproved Value, and it is hereby further notified that the hours of polling are from 9 a.m. at the following Polling Places (see below).
