CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 6.—Sister Elsie Doreen Kemp, of Hamilton, is .one of two Army nurses who have been granted short service commissions in the Regular Force section of the New Zealand Army Nursing Service for a period of one year, with Ihe rank of sister. The other is Sister Rona Irene R • of Christchurch. There are at presx.it a few regular nursing sisters in the North Island, but these are the first appointments to be made in he South Island. Both have been posted to Burnham Military Camp hospital. Both have been on the staff of the hospital during the training of Territorial Force and K. Force troops.
