U.N. Eases Some Of Restrictions On Franco Spain
NEW YORK, Nov. 4.—Part of the United Nations four-year-old ban on Franco Spain was lifted by the General Assembly today. It cleared the way for member governments to send ambassadors back to Madrid and for Spain to join specialised agencies ol the United Nations. The prohibition against Spain’s entry into the United Nations itself remained unchanged. The vote to lilt the two restrictions imposed in 1946, was 38/10. New Zealand and Australia were among the 12 nations which abstained.
