Mrs D. Crabbe, Gonville, who has been visiting Auckland, has returned to Wanganui.

Mrs C. L. Duigan and Miss Anderson, of Wanganui, were recent visitors to Hamilton. Mrs F. Spooner has arrived in Wanganui from Patea to reside with hetson, Mr. G. Spooner. Mrs M. Radford, wife of the late Captain Radford, a one-time well known trader to the port, is visiting Wanganui after an absence of over 2u years; and is the guest of Mrs Barber, Aramoho and will also be the guest ol Mrs Garney Spooner, No. 3 Line. The Rev. and Mrs Keay left yesterday for Lower Hutt, where they will stay with Mrs Keay’s parents for a few weeks. They will leave early in December by plane for Australia and will make their home in Melbourne, where Mr. Keay has accepted a position at the Boys' Grammar School. Gonville Women’s Bowling Club. An enjoyable flag 500 evening on Saturday night when a sum of £l5 was raised for the newly formed Gonville Women’s bowling club. Mrs Wales and Mrs Gillespie were hostesses at the home of of Mr. and Mrs Anderson, Lidliton Street, Mr. McKenzie’s residence. There were 14 tables. Winners were Mr and Mrs Bridges and Mrs Stent. Mrs Dunn won the lucky competition. Mrs Westaway, president of the club, thanked all those who had been associated with the arranging of the evening.
