P. Prentis Wins Archery Handicap Shoot
Good scoring by the novice Paul Prentis gave him a win in the second round of the Wanganui Archery Club’s Handicap Shoot, with a score of 858, Miss R. Check was runnerup with 841, and tho third place was shared by Mrs. E. Attwood and G. Caird, with 537 points each. The following are the points scored off the bow:—Women and Juniors. Mrs. Attwood 030; Miss N. Ellis, 533; Mrs. Caudwell 502; Mrs Ellis, 493; P. Prentis, 436 Miss. R. Check, 410. G. Caird, 372; Royden Check, 336; R. Bryson, 298. Men’s.— M. Armour 724; G. Lawrence, 712; D. Jackson, 650; I. Ellis, 644; K. Broughton, 638; B. Caudwell, 578; J. Terry, 470; B. Fyler, 211.
