Lindwall And Morris Brighten Up Sheffield Shield Match
SYDNEY, Nov. s.—Played in gale conditions on the Sydney Cricket Ground, the second day of the Sheffild Shield match between New South Wales and Queensland was colourless except for the bowling of Lindwall and the bright batting of Morris, who hit Len Johnson into the members’ stand for six. With a gale at hi? back Lindwall took three wickets for two runs. Scores: Queensland (first Innings): 216 (Lindwall four for 33. Walker, three for 55; Davidson, two for 44). New South Wales (first innings): One wicket for 39 (Morris, not out. 26).
