FESTIVAL OF BRITAIN STAKES WORTH £20,000

LONDON, Nov. 3 (Recd. 6.5pm). A £20,000 race will be run at Ascot on Saturday, July 21, next year to mark the Festival of Britain. The prize will be lhe most valuable ever raced for on any English course. The race, called the King George and Queen Elizabeth Festival of Britain Stakes, will be fur 1951 only. Lt is open to three-year-olds and upwards over one and a-half miles. The added money of £20,000 will include a piece of plate presented by the King, and Queen and £5OOO given by the Jockey Club. This year's Derby was wortit £17,000.
