Rangitikei Entries Close On Monday Next Principal event at the Rangitikei Racing Club’s spring meeting, to be held on Saturday, October 28, is the Rangitikei Handicap, for which the stake is £6OO. The open sprint, the J. F. McKelvie Memorial, is worth £4OO. The Parewanui Hack Cup, run over nine and a-half furlongs, carries a stake of £330. Two other hack races are worth £275 each, and there is a stake of £350 for the Sandon Hack Hurdles. A fourth prize will be given in five of the events. There are seven races on the programme, and one race may be divided into two separate events. Nominations are due to close on Monday next at 5 p.m. with the secretary, Mr C. Burkinshaw.
