NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night (PA) —Staving off a determined last-minute challenge, Taranaki defeated Waikato by 11 (a converted try, a penalty goal and a dropped goal) to six (an unconverted try and a penalty goal) in a representative Rugby match played in ideal conditions at Stratford yesterday. Territorially Taranaki han the beter of the game and deserved its win.
