Woman Dies From Injuries Received in Car Accident
GREYMOUTH. Yesterday (PA).—Mrs Edith Elizabeth Riley, 76. widow, of Reef ton, who was injured in a motor-car accident on the Lewis Pass Road on August. 31. died yesterday. Deceased was a passenger in the <ai driven by her son. Mr Olliver Riley, of Reefton. which skidded on the snow-covered road and crashed over a 12ft. hank into a creek bed. Deceased received dies! and head injuries and was on the dangerously ill list at Rcefton Hospital from the time of her admission. Another passenger in the car. Margaret Smith, 19, train ing college student, was admitted to hospital with less serious injuries, while thg driver escaped injury.
