Levels Of Lakes Have Now Risen
AUCKLAND, Yesterday. In the catchment area nearly Uin. of rain fell during the 24 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning. The lake level then showed an improvement of .2ft. since yesterday and .7ft since Monday. The Lake level at 9 o’clock was 15.9 ft. below full. In the Taupo catchment area half an inch of rain was recorded for the same period. The lake is now 3.05 ft below the maximum control level, which is an improvement of .15ft the past 24 hours.
