ROPER RETIRES FROM RUGBY AS RESULT OF KNEE INJURY
NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night (PA).—R. A. Roper, Taranaki and All Black centre three-quarter, has retired from Rugby football .He received an injury to a knee cartilage in the match at Eltham last Saturday which will prevent him from playing for the rest of this season and he said tonight that he intended to hang up his boots for good
