Four Climbing Lizards On Way From N.Z. To Jamaica University

AUCKLAND, Sept. 5, (PA). Four New Zealand geckos left Auckland by air today. These small climbing lizards are being taken to the University College of lhe West Indies, Jamaica, by Doctor T. W. J. Taylor, principal of the University College, who attended a recent British Commonwealth Universities conference at Wairakei. The reptiles, which are about six inches long, are to be used for research purposes and were collected from an island off the Auckland coast. To feed the lizards on the voyage Dr. Taylor took with him a jar of fly pupae which would hatch as the plane met warmer weather, and so supply the geckos favourite food.
