Otago Dairy Farmers Seek New Deal
DUNEDIN, Last Night (PA).—A new deal for dairy farmers is urged in remits passed at a combined meeting of the Dairy Section members of Federated Farmers’ Otago at Kaitangata lonight. The meeting passed the following remits:— ‘‘That this combined meeting of dairy farmers protests against the apparent inactivity of the Dominion Dairy Section Council in failing to insist on full implementation of the labour reward under the guaranteed price structure. “That this meeting urges that the election of ward delegates to the Dominion Dairy Conference be by popular vote of producing dairy farmers: Under the present set-up the majority of dairy farmers are disfranchised.”
