PLANS TO AID SOUTH AND SOUTH-EAST ASIA ARE FORMING IN LONDON
LONDON, Sept. 5 (Reed. 6 pm).— i Development of plans which eventu- 1 ally will bring about an economic I revolution among millions of people I living in countries of South and Southeast Asia are to be discussed at a ■ Treasury conference which opens to- I morrow. High officials from Britain and other Commonwealth countries will j meet to examine schemes which eacft j of the countries concerned has drawn up and sent in. The schemes cover a period of six I years. What they propose is not yet j known, but at the Sydney Conference it was agreed that each country should, in this way, make an estimate of its requirements and send in its proposals by September 11.
