SPRING FLOWER SHOW THIS WEEK HAS DRAWN 260 ENTRIES

About 260 entries had been received for the Wanganui Horticultural Society's spring show—the first of the 1950-51 season—when entries closed last night. In the various sections of the show, which is mainly for daffodil exhibitors, about 26 different competitors have entered. The show will be held at the Drill Hall, Maria Place, tomorrow and Friday. Monetary prizes have been introduced again for the decorative section, a move by which the society hopes to gain further support. In this section the classes have been re-writ-ten to be more in keeping with modern decorative practice. In this show decorative sections will be staged against a background and will, therefore, be judged from the frontal effect only. Another 70 Men Called For K Force WELLINGTON.
