Mosquito To Fly Non-Stop From Dunedin To Auckland
WELLINGTON, Last Night (PA)— A Mosquito aircraft, of 70 (RNZAF) Squadron will make a trial run from Dunedin to Auckland tomorrow in preparation for the record-breaking attempt soon to be made on the time of actual flight between Dunedin and Auckland. When the record flight is made a letter will be carried from the Mayor of Dunedin to the Mayor of Auckland. During tomorrow’s flight a route 1 will be mapped. The pilot and navi- ’ gator tomorrow, Flying Officer R. J. 1 Scott (New Plymouth) and Flight ! Lieutenant J. D. Garrett .Ohakea) will also be the crew of the aircraft, on its I record-breaking attempt.
