Further scratchings yesterday for the first day of the Wanganui Jockey Club’s spring meeting are:— Flying Handicap: Finola, 9 a.m.; Magnate, 4.45 p.m. Durie Hack Handicap.—Rusa 11.15 a.m., Cppl Waters 11.40 a.m. Marangai Handicap: Emerge, 4.40 p.m. Maiden Race: Paisley, 11.40 a.m.; Blue Ridge, 3.45 p.m.; Miss Adm’ral, 5.15 p.m. Okehu Hurdles: Calm Play, 5.15 p.m. The scratchings of Rusa and Cool Waters enables Kissane and Just Barney to be reinstated in the Durie Hack Handicap.
Conclusion was scratched at 12.15 p.m. on Thursday for the Marangai Handicap.
