The following players have been selected 'to represent the Taranaki Maoris in a match against the Wanganui Maoris at Wanganui on September 16 for the Tuera Shield, held by Wanganui:— S. Maruera, D. Hill, J. Brough'ton, Les Walden (Patea), J. Hikaka, E. Malcolm, J. Remihana (Hawera), Les Sole (Athletic), J. Toro, D. Skipper, M. Puketapu, B. Rangi (Okaiawa), T. Waiwiri, S. Hohaia, J. Ratahi, H. Minhinnick (Opunake), J. Okeroa, D. Pukere, G. Wallace (Rahotu), Te Punga (Eltham). The Yearn will travel by bus to Wanganui on the morning of the match.
