NOTICE is hereby given that Greyhounds Buses Ltd., will commence running the passenger services on the St. Johns Hill, Aramoho and Wanganui East routes on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 1950, and as from that date adult concession fare cards and school concession cards issued by the Corporation Tramways will not be accepted for rides on the Company's vehicles. Holders of such concession cards may obtain refunds for the unused portions of same on presentation at the City Council Offices, St. Hill Street, or at the Gas Department’s Offices in Victoria Avenue. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920, the Rating Act 1925 and all other powers enabling it the Waimarino County Council at its meeting to be held on Saturday, September 9, 1950 will make and levy rates as hereunder: — A Uniform General Rate of laid in the £ on the Unimproved Value of all rateable property as appearing on the Valuation Rolls constituting the County of Waimarino. A Hospital Rate under the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 192 S of Jd in the £ on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the County of Waimarino. A Harbour Rate of 5 in the £ on the Capital Value of all lands in the Wanganui Harbour Rating District as are in the County of Waimarino. A Catchment District, rate of 15/32d in the £ on the Unimproved Value of all lands in the Rangitikei Catchment District as are in the County of Waimarino. And so much of the Conversion Loan Special Rate and Merged Area special rate as is required to provide the Interest and Sinking Funds on the Loans raised respectively. Such rates are for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1950, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1951, and becoming due and payable in one sum to the Collector of Rates at the County Office, Seddon Street, Raetihi on the 15th day of Septemper, 1950.
