CHARTER FOR RAETIHI CLUB IS GRANTED
RAETIHI, Last Night (O..).—The Raetihi Club (Inc.) has been advised by the Licensing Control Commission that it has been granted a chartei under Part 4 of the Licensing Amendment Act, 1948. This «11 operate from September 1, 1950, to June 30, 1951. . ~ Under the charter the club is authorised to sell and dispose of liquor to any member of the club on the club premises for consumption on the club’s premises only. This is the first club charter granted in the southern King Country. The Raetihi Club has been established more than 40 years. Evidence in support of a licence for the sale of liquor was given to the Commission on behalf of the club when the Commission sat in Raetihi early in the year.
