CLUB HOCKEY TO BE RESUMED TOMORROW AFTER LONG BREAK

After a spell of three weeks, women’s club hockey will be resumed : in Rangitikei tomorrow, the main game being between Marton Athletic and Te Kauwau at Sanson. Only one point separates the two teams in the competition. In the first round Athletic won easily by seven goals to one. As Ohakea have defaulted, only two games will be played in the senior B grade championship. If Athletic win tomorrow’s game against Swifts —previous performances suggest that they should experience no trouble—they are practically assured of the 1950 premiership.
