Quadruplets Born In Small Town Near Newcastle
STONEY, Aug. 20, Reed. 7 pm). —Quadruplets, two boys and two girls, have been born to Mrs. Betty Sara, wife of Ambulance Superintendent Percy Sara, at Beilingen, a small mining and timber community near Newcastle. The first baby, a girl, was born at 9.16 p.m. on Thursday, and weighed 31b 90S ounces. The second, a boy, born at 118 pm. on Friday, weighed 51b 11 ounces, the third, a girl, born at 5.55 p.m. on Saturday, weighed about 51bs, and the fourth, a boy, born at 11.49 p.m. on Saturday, weighed about 51bs. The condition of the children and the mother is satisfactory, and there is no special cause for anxiety. They will remain at the Beilingen River District Hospital, where they were born, under the supervision of three local doctors and a specialist from Newcastle. The doctors said that they allowed nature to take its course, rather than use surgical methods. The specialist ' added: “The Lord Is a wonderful doctor.
