REP. RUGBY MATCH AT RAETIHI MAY HALT SUB-UNION’S SECESSION
RAETIHI, Saturday (Spec).— In an address at a ceremony after the representative Rugby match, King Country v Manawatu, played here today, Mr W. Davis, a past president of the Ruapehu Sub Union, made passing reference to moves afoot for seccession of the sub union from the King Country Union to Wanganui.
He said the King Country union’s allocation of the Manawatu match to Raetihi had inspired a fresh impetus of enthusiasm for continued integration of the King Country union, and the fine performance giv*n by the home team could easily sway opinion in favour of maintaining the existing order of things.
