Representative Women’s Hockey Matches
WELLINGTON. Last Night (PA).— The Wellington women’s hockey representatives beat Horowhenua by 3-0 on Saturday at Wellington to take the Baker Pavata Cup. Other women’s hockey results were: — Senior A Wellington 2, Wairarapa 0: Senior reserve, Wairarapa 2, Wellington 0; Senior B, Wellington 9, Wairarapa 1; Junior, Wellington 2, Wairarapa 0; Secondary Schools, Wairarapa 4, Wellington 0. Supported by a defence too good for their opponents’ forwards, the Manawatu senior men’s hockey representatives beat Wellington 4-2 in a match at the Basin Reserve on Saturday. A second string senior Wellington team beat Horowhenua 7-0 at Karori Park. In a primary school bov<’ match al the Basin Reserve Canterbury beat Wellington 4-1. three of Cantebury's goals coming from the stick of Douglas Jone&.
