SECRETARY OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL; QUICK TOUR OF N.Z.
HASTINGS, Last Night (PA).—A week’s tour of New Zealand will bo made, commencing next Friday, by Mr Philip Lovejoy, secretary of Rotary international. The day after his arrival next Friday at Auckland from the United States he will address a meeting of Rotarians of the Waikato districts at Rotorua, and on the following Monday will address another gathering at Timaru. On Tuesday when he will attend a luncheon of Wellington Rotarians and that evening will be the guest at a rally in Palmerston North of Rotarians from Manawatu, Wanganui, Taranaki and Wairarapa. A tour of the East Coast will take place on Wednesday, August 23, with three gatherings of Rotarians in the morning. Mr. Lovejoy will have morning tea with Central Hawkes Bay Rotarians at Waipukurau. Then there will be a combined Hastings-Napier luncheon fathering, after which he will depart by air for Gisborne, where, in the evening, he will be the guest of the Gisborne Rotary Club. A lightning tour will conclude the following day at Auckland, with a rally of northern Rotarians in Auckland, and on Friday he will leave for Australia by air.
