St. Paul’s Women’s Friendship Club

The monthly meeting of the St. Paul’s Women’s Friendship Club was held on Tuesday evening last when there was a good attendance of members and friends. Devotions Were taken by Mrs. Weir.

Thanks were extended to all those who had helped either in visiting hospital patients or in .assisting, through gifts of kind, which were much appreciated by those visited. The programme consisted of impromptu Speeches, solos by Mrs. A. Tinker and a community sing. Much interest was caused in the roll-call this month—“ Something I Treasure.’’ Each member had brought a treasured article about which something had to be related and no two articles were alike. The articles were later on exhibition.

Competition results were: Best posy, Mrs. Weir 1 and 2, Mrs. Ryan

Mrs. Rennie was door hostess and supper was served by Mesdames Gaston, Neilson, Oakenfull and Warner.
