Mr. Lionel Leary touring manager for J. C. Williamson Ltd., is visiting Wangaui to make arrangements for a visit of the Kiwis early in August. Dr. E. H. Clarke, resident medical superintendent at the Dannevirke Public Hospital for the past five and a-half years, has resigned to enter private practice at. Hastings. Mr. James Allison, who died recently, was remembered at the monthly meeting of the Whangaehu Rabbit Board yesterday. Mr Allison was a foundation (member of the board and gave many years’ service to the district, said the chairman Mr. D. L. Bly th. Mr. Ernest Oxley, who died recently, was referred to at the annual meet ng of The Wanganui R.S.A. Bowling Club by the president, Mr. W. Bourne. Hj said Mr. Oxley wa one of the foundation members of the club and had given valued service. As a mark of respect the meeting observed a brief silence.
