BRITAIN’S GOLD AND DOLLAR RESERVES ARE STILL CLIMBING
LONDON, June 16 (Recd. 8 pan.)—A special report from Washington says Britain’s gold and dollar reserves are still climbing. Monetary experts in Washington predict that figures due next month will show that reserves are back to, or even more than 2,241,000,000 dollars, which, according to Sir Stafford Cripps, is the minimum safety point. Before devaluation of the pound sterling in September they had shrunk to 1,425,000,000 dollars.— N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent.
