Street Lighting
Sir, —There have been no street lights at Wanganui East the last three nights. This seems to be the only suburb without tight. There was much comment the two previous winters that Wanganui East was so often the only part of the city without street lights. Why is this? Is it because no one has complained? I am calling attention to the commencement of this winter’s black-outs, in the hope that our district won’t have to do more than its share of saving power.—l am, etc., “RESIDENT.” The failure of the light in the streets of Wanganui East was due to the development of a fault” said Mr. G. A. Ammundson, when the above letter was referred to him. “It will be greatly appreciated if residents in an area where the street lights fail will telephone the office at once so thar the fault can be remedied without delay.”—Editor.
