FURTHER ADVANCES IN CURE OF HEART DISEASE

LONDON, June 2 (Recd 6 p.m).Further advances in medical treatment of heart disease are announced in the current issue of the British Medical Journal.

A team at Guy’s Hospital, well known for its work on “blue babies*” has now achieved successful results in seven cut of nine patients with a common form of acquired heart disease called mitral stenosis, due to rheumatic fever in early life.
