WANGANUI IN THE NEWS
Wanganui is In the Rugby news. In the latest issue of the ‘World Sports," the international sports magazine, to reach Wanganui, Lindsay Kirk, their Rugby writer, states:
"For your real Rugby football enthusiast, whether he hails from Bloemfontein or Belfast, Wales or Wanganui, winter is the season of content and all too short. For British and French another season is ending; Australians, New Zealanders and South Africans are marking out their touchlines, and re-studding their boots as autumn reaches them." Whether the mention of Wanganui is due to its good record of the past few seasons or to the fact that it goes well with Wales is not known. It might be due to the latter, but it would be nice if it was due to the former.
