OPPOSITION TO PRINCIPAL BEING HOSTEL MASTER
Notice that he wished his vote to be recorded against a certain clause in the minute of a special meeting of the hostel committee, was given by Mr. H. Norris at last night's meeting of the Board of Managers of the Wanganui Technical College. The clause referred to the appointment of the principal (Mr. J. Dash) as mousemaster at the hostel subject to certain conditions, the appointment to take effect from May 1, 1950, for a period of three years. Mr. Norris said he wished to vote against the minute because of f 5? procedure of appointment. He said the appointment was made behind closed doors and the public was not given an opportunity to know *he full facts of the position at the hostel.
