Mangamahu Domain Board Formed
At a recent meeting of Mangamahu residents it was decided to form a Mangamahu Domain .Board, which will take over and control an area of five acres previously held by the Crown Lands Department. The decision to form a domain board will be of benefit to Rugby footballers and tennis players of the district. The department had leased 'he land for grazing purposes and often difficulties arose when a part of the land was wanted for football games. Now the board will have control of the area and they will decide when and how much grazing will be done.
Advice has been sent to the department in Wellington that a board has been formed. When the hoard is given authority to function it will obtain funds received for grazing by the department, and will be able o obtain grants for improvements to the area. The board comprises: Messrs. R. C. Cook. J. S. McDonald, G. Morris, D. H. Archer and J. F. Collin*
