IMPERIAL GENERAL STAFF TO HOLD CONFERENCE IN MAY

LONDON, April 26 (Recd 7.5 pm). Major-General Keith Stewart is expected to come to England for a routine conference of lhe Chiefs of the Imperial General Staff. This to begin at Camberiey on May 20 and will be attended by high-ranking officers, including many from the Commonwealth. It will be followed by an exercise which will be observed by those attending the conference. Major-General Stewart is expected to return to New Zealand early in June. The Commonwealth conference on military clothing and general .stores is still proceeding and is expected to last another fortnight. Scientific officers are also taking part and all Dominions. including India, Pakistan and Ceylon, are represented. Special Cor-| respondent N.Z.P.A.
