Taihape Taxi Over A Bank; Driver’s Lucky Escape
TAIHAPE, Last Night (O.C.)— When a taxi, driven by Mr. Jack L. Hayman, went over a bank near Taihape saleyards early this morning, the driver escaped with abrasions and a severe shaking, but the car was extensively damaged. Mr. Haymon was returning to town from a trip into the country and had just started to ascend the hill leading into the township when the car left the road and turned over three times before coming to rest in a badly damaged condition. Mr. Hayman had a miraculous escape from injury or death. He was the only occupant of the car.
