Aged Woman Has Arm Caught In Folding Trolley Bus Doors

AUCKLAND, Last Night (PA)—An elderly woman suffered severe injuries to her left arm when it was caught in the automatic folding doors of one of the Auckland Transport Board’s new trolley buses today. The injuries were so severe that the arm was later amputated. The injured woman is Mrs Janet Marshall Taylor, widow, aged 76 years, who resides In the city. As she stepped off the bus her arm was caught in the folding doors. The bus then moved off, throwing her to the ground. She was dragged along the road for some distance. She was taken to hospital. Her condition is serious.
