Accommodation For Overseas Teachers In London Extended
LONDON, Jan. 31 (Rec. 6 pm).— The League of the British Commonwealth and Empire, which has for some years maintained a small hostel for overseas teachers in Belgravia, London, has extended its accommo datlon by purchasing an adjoining house.
The new premises, divided into single rooms and two-roomed flats, and are already accommodating 14 Dominion teachers who are working on exchange in Britain. Some of the teachers now in residence will leave the hostel during the school holiday? and their places will be taken by others who are teaching in the provinces, and who desire to spend n holiday in London, The league has spent, about £2OOO upon the extension and has raised another £2400. It still, however, re quires about £4OOO to cover the cost Special N.Z.P.A. Correspondent.
