Australia Investigating Possibility Of Big Dollar Loan
CANBERRA, Jan. 31 (Rec. 6 pm). —The possibilities of a substantial dollar loan to finance the import of urgently needed North Amerinin goods are under review by the Treasurer, Mr. Fadden. Alternative courses are:
(1) The purchase of additional dollars from the International Monetary Fund
(21 Negotiation of trading credits through the American Import Export Bank.
(3) An approach to Washington for a direct Government loan. (4) Borrowing through private sources in the United States. It is believed that Australia will apply to the International Fund before June 30.
