W.A. Resources Impress Americans
PERTH. —Two New York engineers believe the south-west corner of Western Australia could support a population of 3,000,000 within a generation. They have been investigating the exploitation of iron ore from Koolan island, in the far south-west of the State. They consider the State has ample resources to support such an increased population. “We feel that the steel project which we are investigating would be most important in bringing this about,” they said in Perth recently.—Reuter.
