EMPLOYERS PLEDGE SUPPORT FOR BRITAIN’S ECONOMIC RECOVERY

LONDON. Dec. 22 (Recd. 6 p.m.)— British employers yesterday ’pledged their full support to the Government in dealing with the country’s economic and financial difficulties. This was the outcome of a meeting on Monday between the Foreign Secretary, Mr. Ernest Bevin. the Labour Minister, Mr. Isaacs, and representatives of the British Employers’ Confederation. A statement issued afterwards said Mr. Bevin asked for employers’ cooperation in a necessary effort to secure wage stabilisation and increased production, and that Sir Greville Maginess, on behalf of the Confederation, assured him of the employers' full support. The Confederation embraces all the main employers’ associations.
